March 22, 1952 - January 19, 2023

SAN DIEGO, CA — Teresa Maria Silva Harrison was born on March 22, 1952, in Modesto, CA to her loving parents Dolores W Silva and the late Albert A. Silva. Teresa was the oldest and only daughter of 5 children, Phillip G. wife Wilma, John G. wife Michele, Gary G., and Anthony G. wife Brandi.

Teresa, also known as Teri, was a lifelong athlete, even after contracting polio when she was 2 years old. She was an outstanding female athlete in her high school class, a member of her junior college basketball team, and a part of the women’s water polo team at SDSU.

Although she played recreational softball and enjoyed other sports, Teresa had a passion for swimming. In fact, she swam a mile every day the pool was above 70 degrees, including the mile she swam on August 1, 2022, after having her last radiation treatment.

Teri was a member of the first graduating class of Central Catholic High School in Modesto, CA. She later moved to San Diego, CA where she attended SDSU and spent the last 52 years alongside her loving husband of 42 years, Randy Harrison. Teri was a huge Padres fan and she was a member of the President Club at the San Diego Zoo.

Although she had many wonderful qualities and always found a way to give back to her community, one of her most admirable qualities was her strength and resilience. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and underwent many procedures. Her cancer went metastatic in 2014. Even during the last few months, she continued to fight and never gave up.

Teri leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband Randy, stepson Brian Warner and wife Harmony, grandkids Allison Warner and Gavin Warner, her very dear friend Ferris, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Donations can be made to the Albert A. Silva Scholarship Fund at Central Catholic High School in Modesto, CA, and or to Metavivor.org.

Services took place on February 2, 2023. Her final resting place is Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego.
