SDCCU leader receives national recognition
Teresa Campbell, president and CEO at San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU), was recently named one of the Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions in 2022 by American Banker magazine.
The designation recognizes women leaders in credit unions and all they have accomplished within their companies and community. SDCCU is one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions.
Campbell, who joined the credit union in 2010, was selected for her outstanding leadership and demonstrated success at SDCCU.
Most notably, under her leadership SDCCU’S customer base has more than doubled, reaching over 437,000 members, and the company’s assets have grown from just under $5 billion to $11.3 billion. Campbell has focused on improving lives by providing breakthrough banking products, services, education and extensive community support that has tremendously impacted Southern California, according to an SDCCU news release.
“It is an honor to be recognized among these leaders within the credit union community,” Campbell said.
During her time at SDCCU, Campbell has earned a number of notable awards for her accomplishments and leadership.
In 2022, she was selected as one of SD Metro Magazine’s Women of Accomplishment.
In 2021, she was honored as San Diego Business Woman of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal; recognized with a Stevie
Award for Women in Business; selected for a Business Leadership Award from the North San Diego Business Chamber; and named one of SD Metro Magazine’s Women of Influence for the second consecutive year.
