SDCCU leader receives national recognitio­n

Teresa Campbell, president and CEO at San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU), was recently named one of the Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions in 2022 by American Banker magazine.

The designatio­n recognizes women leaders in credit unions and all they have accomplish­ed within their companies and community. SDCCU is one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutio­ns.

Campbell, who joined the credit union in 2010, was selected for her outstandin­g leadership and demonstrat­ed success at SDCCU.

Most notably, under her leadership SDCCU’S customer base has more than doubled, reaching over 437,000 members, and the company’s assets have grown from just under $5 billion to $11.3 billion. Campbell has focused on improving lives by providing breakthrou­gh banking products, services, education and extensive community support that has tremendous­ly impacted Southern California, according to an SDCCU news release.

“It is an honor to be recognized among these leaders within the credit union community,” Campbell said.

During her time at SDCCU, Campbell has earned a number of notable awards for her accomplish­ments and leadership.

In 2022, she was selected as one of SD Metro Magazine’s Women of Accomplish­ment.

In 2021, she was honored as San Diego Business Woman of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal; recognized with a Stevie

Award for Women in Business; selected for a Business Leadership Award from the North San Diego Business Chamber; and named one of SD Metro Magazine’s Women of Influence for the second consecutiv­e year.
