‘Foster Finder' pet program introduced
Chula Vista Animal Services has launched the Finder Foster program, designed to reunite lost pets with their families. Pets are 80 percent more likely to return home when they stay in the community in which they are found. The shelter environment can be very stressful for lost pets, but the foster program allows animals to thrive in a loving, temporary home. Chula Vista Animal Services will provide a medical exam, vaccinations, flea medications and if needed, a microchip. The finder will foster the lost pet and help search for the owner by posting on social media, websites, etc. To volunteer and learn more, visit bit.ly/3jlgj7p.
Send items at least two weeks before they are set to take place to fyi.south@sduniontribune.com.
