Oilers 6, Kraken 4: Evander Kane recorded his second hat trick of the season and Edmonton gained some cushion in the Western Conference playoff chase with a win at Seattle. Connor Mcdavid had a goal and two assists, giving him 134 points for the season — the seventh-most points by any player in the past 30 years.

Bruins 5, Wild 2: David Pastrnak scored his 47th goal of the season and Linus Ullmark made 29 saves in Boston’s win at Minnesota. Jake Debrusk, David Krejci, Patrice Bergeron and Trent Frederic also scored for the Bruins, who have won two in a row as they seek to surpass the record 62 wins and 132 points in a season.

Avalanche 5, Red Wings 1: Nathan Mackinnon scored a tiebreakin­g goal with a burst of speed and a slick wrist shot midway through the second period to help visiting Colorado win its fifth straight.

Jets 3, Predators 2 (OT): Neal Pionk scored 55 seconds into overtime to lead visiting Winnipeg.

Hurricanes 5, Flyers 4 (OT): Sebastian Aho had a hat trick, including the winning goal 28 seconds into overtime after Martin Necas tied it with 0.3 seconds left in regulation for visiting Carolina.

Panthers 4, Devils 2: Sam Reinhart scored two of Florida’s four third-period goals and the Panthers rallied to beat visiting New Jersey.

Lightning 5, Canadiens 3: Brandon Hagel had his second NHL hat trick, and Steven Stamkos reached the 30-goal mark for the eighth time for host Tampa Bay.

Maple Leafs 5, Senators 4 (SO): Alexander Kerfoot scored the deciding goal in the ninth round of the shootout to lift visiting Toronto to its second straight win.

Rangers 6, Penguins 0: Artemi Panarin had two goals, including one on a power play, to help host New York beat Pittsburgh.

Stars 6, Flames 5 (OT): Jason Robertson’s second goal of the game came 4:47 into overtime for visiting Dallas.

Canucks 3, Kings 2 (SO): Andrei Kuzmenko and J.T. Miller scored during the shootout for visiting Vancouver.
