April 23 RIVERSIDE Air show

March Air Reserve Base will wrap up its inaugural two-day Southern California Air Show April 23 at the base. In addition to static displays of military and civilian aircraft, the event will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbir­ds in the their F-16 Fighting Falcons, the Patriots Jet Team flying L-39 single-seat trainers, the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 Super Hornet West Coast Demo Team, the Air Force’s C-17 Globemaste­r West Coast Demo Team, the Canadian Skyhawks Parachute Team and the A-10 Thunderbol­t Demo Team. The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnershi­p with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading-education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. The library is at 8 Town Square.

April 25 TEMECULA Farmers market

April 29 TEMECULA Run Through the Vineyard

Temecula Sunrise Rotary will host its 35th annual Run Through the Vineyard 10K, 5K and 2K runwalks at the Maurice Car’rie Vineyard on Saturday, April 29. The event raises money for the club’s community service projects. Registrati­on is limited to 800 entrants and costs $50 for the 10K, $48 for the 5K and $18 for the 2K. Online registrati­on will close at 11:59 p.m. April 26, or whenever the race sells out, whichever is first. Race-day registrati­on will be from 6 to 7 a.m. if spots are still available. May 5-6 TEMECULA Rod Run

The annual Temecula Rod Run car show will kick off with the Friday Night Cruise up and down Old Town Front Street from 5 to 8 p.m. May 5 and will be followed by the Show & Shine from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 6 in historic Old Town.
