Summer reading program at libraries

The San Diego County Library System is offering the summer reading program for all ages, “Summer at Your Library: Read, Learn, Create!” Complete 10 books, 10 reading hours or 10 learning activities to receive a prize at one of the county’s 33 library branch locations, including El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Julian, Lakeside, Ramona, Santee, Spring Valley, Descanso, Alpine and Jacumba. $2 movies at Rancho San Diego center

Rancho San Diego Towne Center and Regal Edwards present a summer of $2 movies at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through Aug. 16. The Regal Summer Movie Express program will offer G-rated or Pg-rated movies for the whole family, and Regal Crown Club members will receive 50 percent off popcorn purchases on Tuesdays. La Mesa celebrates Juneteenth today

The La Mesa Juneteenth Foundation and San Diego

Black Chamber of Commerce present a Juneteenth Celebratio­n from noon to 4 p.m. today at Macarthur Park, 4900 Memorial Drive. Enjoy food, art, music, dance, crafts, children’s activities and a community marketplac­e featuring local vendors. The La Mesa Juneteenth Foundation examines the cultural heritage of enslaved African Americans and their descendant­s through art, entertainm­ent, education, research and celebratio­n. Off-roaders host jamboree fundraiser

The San Diego Off-road Coalition kicks off its inaugural Jamboree from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds to raise money to keep public lands open for off-road vehicles. Food, 50-plus vendors, raffle prizes, microbrewe­ries and RC car racetrack. Presented by El Cajon Hobbies. Admission fee $20. The rodeo grounds are at 12584 Mapleview St., Lakeside. Blood drives

The San Diego Blood Bank hosts these blood drives:
