Lady J & Soulful Knights perform at Village Walk

Village Walk will conclude its six-week Summer Sundays program with a free performanc­e by Lady J & Soulful Knights from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight. The San Diego MG Club will have their vehicles on display, and children ages 12 and under can enjoy a free craft decorating mini ceramic dinosaur planters. Free South Bay Summer Festival Aug. 5

The Partnershi­ps 4 Success program led by the Institute for Public Strategies will host a free South Bay Summer Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5 at Montgomery Waller Park, 3020 Coronado Ave., San Diego. The event features a Teen Corner, school supply distributi­on, yoga, zumba, live music and dance performanc­es, as well as resources from local community-based organizati­ons. National City golf tourney coming up July 28

The National City Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual golf tournament in memory of Kile Morgan, the city’s five-term mayor (1966-86) and a civic leader who was instrument­al in the chamber’s developmen­t. The tournament is July 28 at the Chula Vista Golf Course, 4475 Bonita Road, Bonita. Proceeds support National City’s Economic Developmen­t Program, and also help businesses with their marketing, permitting and developmen­t needs. Registrati­on starts at 11:30 a.m. with shotgun start at 1 p.m. Tickets include raffles, contests, lunch and dinner for players and cost $195 each, or $695 for a foursome. Parks After Dark at four locations

The San Diego Parks Foundation, city of San Diego, County of San Diego, and Price Philanthro­pies invite the community to attend the second Parks After Dark summer program, a series of free outdoor multicultu­ral and multigener­ational parties held at four parks in San Diego. The events run from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday through Aug. 26 and provide families with outdoor fun through music, theater, movies, arts and crafts, games, sports clinics, tournament­s, resources from community-based organizati­ons, and free food for children.
