Time to target big San Francisco rebound
Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I’m here weekly to assist.
On Draftkings, it’s important to remember you’re playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player surpasses 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.
Here is my optimal lineup for today’s $2.5 million Fantasy Football Millionaire contest, but it can be utilized as a foundation in other games and platforms.
All prices listed are courtesy of Draftkings with a $50,000 budget.
These lineups have netted $205, so that leaves me $100 in the hole with an average score of 140.39 points through 16 weeks.
QB: Brock Purdy, 49ers ($7,000):
Everyone has a bad day, but there’s only four quarterbacks — Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott and Lamar Jackson — averaging more fantasy points per game than Purdy, and this is the perfect opportunity to bounce back from his performance against the Ravens on Christmas night. The Commanders are allowing the most fantasy points to QBS, including the most scoring passes (33), while yielding the league’s fourth-most yards per pass attempt (7.7).
RB: Kyren Williams, Rams ($8,300): In five games since returning from injury, Williams has 601 rushing yards (5.4 yards per carry), 17 receptions (for 87 yards) and five total touchdowns with an average of 25.6 touches per game. Christian Mccaffrey is the only running back who has been more valuable over that span and it’s closer than you think. The Giants
have allowed the eighthmost fantasy points to RBS this season and the fifthmost rushing yards per game since Week 11.
RB: Zamir White, Raiders ($5,100):
Josh Jacobs has missed the last two games with a quadriceps injury and he’s listed as doubtful to play on Sunday. White is the overall RB9 as Jacobs replacement the last two weeks, averaging 115 total yards on 21 touches per game. The Colts are allowing the third-most fantasy points to running backs, including the seventh-most missed tackles per attempt since Week 11.
WR: AJ Brown, Eagles ($8,600):
Brown has 2,890 yards in 32 games since he was traded to Philadelphia. That’s the third-most yards in NFL history by a player in his first 32 games with any team. He hasn’t scored a TD since Week 12, but he’s had at least five receptions in five straight games and has received double-digit targets in four straight games.
WR: Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers ($7,000): Aiyuk has at least five receptions, 109 yards or a TD in seven of the last eight games, averaging 19.8 yards per reception over that span. The Commanders are allowing the secondmost fantasy points to wide receivers, and have been helpless against vertical threats all season.
WR: Michael Wilson, Cardinals ($3,500):
Arizona placed Marquise Brown (heel) on injured reserve, ending his season. Wilson led the Cardinals wide receivers in routes last week and is averaging a teamhigh 15.5 yards per reception this season. The Eagles are allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers, including the eighthmost DK (20.6) points per game to perimeter wideouts since Week 13.
TE: Darren Waller, Giants ($4,500):
On throws from Tyrod Taylor this season, Waller leads New York in targets (24), receptions (18), yards (208) and first-down conversions (10). The Rams are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends, including a TD in three of the last four games.
FLEX: Richie James, Chiefs ($3,000):
James had season highs for receptions (three) and receiving yards (54) last week against the Raiders. Kansas City is desperate for someone to contribute in the passing attack besides Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice.
DST: Las Vegas Raiders ($3,000): The Raiders have the highest-scoring defense in fantasy since Week 5, averaging 11.9 points per game. They’ve allowed only 38 points and tallied 12 sacks with seven turnovers forced and four TDS in three games since their bye.
