San Diego Brew Festival
Check out San Diego Brew Festival from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday at NTC Park in Liberty Station at 2455 Cushing Road.
The 21-and-older festival features over 70 breweries and a variety of food trucks as well as cover bands, live music and more entertainment.
Tickets range from $50 for general admission to $65 for early admission, which gets you in an hour earlier for some special beer samples.

Skating by the Sea
Each holiday season, the Hotel del Coronado offers guests and locals a chance to go ice skating on a special rink that is set up on the grounds of the famous hotel, right in front of the Pacific Ocean.
If you haven’t been to Skating by the Sea yet this year, it’s time to get a move on because the rink closes Sunday, Jan. 7.

16th Annual soundon Festival
For sweet sounds and symphonies, head to the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library on Friday through Sunday, Jan. 7, for the soundon Festival.
Presented by the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library and San Diego New Music, the festival features cutting-edge contemporary music from around the world.
This year’s event explores the work of San Diego composer Adam Greene as well as newly commissioned works by Mark Menzies.

First Friday La Jolla Art Walk
La Jolla’s first First Friday Art Walk of the year starts at 4 p.m. Friday.
Each month there’s a new theme as art lovers sip, snack and stroll through a series of local galleries.
