Libraries: Closed. All county libraries will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Oceanside will close at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Coronado will close at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Carlsbad and Escondido will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Parking meters: Not enforced.

Schools: Closed. Check with your individual school districts for holiday schedule.

Trash collection: One-day service delay from the day of the holiday.

Landfills: Closed.

Transportation: New Year’s Eve (Tuesday): MTS will run a weekday bus service, with free, extra late-night service on northbound Route 30. Express Routes 20, 50, 60, 110, 150 and 950 will run a weekday service. Rapid Routes 201/202, 215, 225 and 235 will run a weekday service, with free, extra late-night service on Rapid Routes 215 and 235. Rapid Routes 204, 237 and Rapid Express Routes 280 and 290 will run a weekday service. The Trolley will run a weekday service, with free, extra late-night service. No service for Rural Routes 888, 891 and 892. Rural Route 894 will run a Tuesday service. Sorrento Valley Coaster Connection Routes 972, 973, 978 and 979 will run a weekday service. No service for the Vintage Trolley. North County Coaster and Sprinter will run a normal schedule, with additional late-night trains (free after 6 p.m.). The Breeze/flex will operate a normal schedule (free after 6 p.m.). New Year’s Day (Wednesday): MTS Bus, the Trolley, Express Routes 20, 950, Rapid Routes 201/202, 215, 225 and 235 will run a Sunday service. No service for Express Routes 50, 60, 110, 150, Rapid Routes 204, 237, Rapid Express Routes 280, 290, Rural Routes 888, 891, 892 and 894. Sorrento Valley Coaster Connection Routes 972, 973, 978, 979 and the Vintage Trolley will not operate. North County Coaster, Sprinter and the Breeze/flex will run a Sunday schedule.
