Today MURRIETA Sidewalk Overstock Sale
The Murrieta Friends of the Library will hold a Sidewalk Overstock Sale of overstock hardback and paperback books from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. todayat the Friends’ Corner Store, 39455 Los Alamos Road. Books, mostly fiction, will be available for 25 cents to $1; proceeds will benefit the Murrieta Public Library, 8 Town Square.
TEMECULA State Street Ballet
The State Street Ballet company will present an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” at 8 p.m. today at Old Town Temecula Community Theater, 42051 Main St. Tickets cost $25 for general admission, $20 seniors and military, and $15 for students. Monday MURRIETA Dog Tales
The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnership with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10-minute slot. The library is at 8 Town Square.

The Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library hosts “La Hora Del Cuento — Bilingual Storytime” Mondays, except holidays, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. The program for all ages promotes early Spanish learning by immersion in Spanish and English. Feb. 27 WILDOMAR Business Connect
The city of Wildomar hosts its monthly Business Connect workshop series on the fourth Thursday of the month. The no-cost workshops aim to help businesses in the Wildomar area grow. Feb. 29 TEMECULA Celebration of American Black History
To mark Black History Month, the Temecula Valley Museum and Old Town Temecula Theater will present an evening of thought-provoking and entertaining music focused on the evolution of slavery to the present day on Feb. 29. March 2 TEMECULA Teen STEM program
Teens are invited to a Medical Diagnostic Lab STEM program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 2 at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library, 30600 Pauba Road. Mt. San Jacinto College professor Nick Reeves will teach participants how to use the ELISA medical diagnostic test to determine flu infection (no actual virus will be present). March 3 TEMECULA Female entrepreneurs meet
Temecula NAFE, the National Association of Female Executives, meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Texas Lil’s Mesquite Grill, 28495 Old Town Temecula. Each meeting features a speaker and opportunity for female businesswomen to meet. The meeting costs $10 for NAFE members and $15 for guests; dinner is paid for individually. NAFE dues are $50 a year.
