Police arrest man in trolley station stabbing
San Diego police arrested a man in connection with the stabbing death of a 25-year-old man on a trolley platform in San Diego on Saturday night.
Police received a call about a stabbing at the Imperial Trolley Center, near Imperial Avenue and 13th Street, at about 8:15 p.m., said San Diego police homicide Lt. Andra Brown. Officers arrived and found Metropolitan Transit System officers treating a man with several stab wounds to his torso.
The victim was transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead just before 9:30 p.m.
Brown said the man has been identified but his name is not being released at this time.
Homicide detectives are still investigating the incident but have determined that the victim was involved in a physical altercation with the 27-year-old man on the trolley platform.
