Mass shootings show we need to change

-

When is enough, enough? The “Second Amendment rights” mantra has become stale in the midst of the insanity that has gripped this country related to gun rights. The Second Amendment was written when we had no National Guard and when one round of ammunition was the standard. Could the Founding Fathers have predicted today’s technology or how dangerous this country would become because of the twisted interpretation of this amendment?

Why reject universal background checks to ensure a weapon is in the hands of a responsible person? Why reject taking weapons of war off the streets? Why reject safe storage of firearms to keep children and those contemplating suicide safe?
