June 19 TEMECULA Juneteenth celebration
Temecula will host its inaugural Juneteenth Celebration online June 19 to July 19. The free virtual experience explores the historical journey of freedom for people around the globe and marks the legal end of slavery in the U.S. on June 19, 1865, in Galveston, Texas. Celebrate African American achievements and connect with Black-owned businesses in Temecula. Visit temeculaca.gov/ juneteenth.
June 22 MURRIETA Coffee talks
The Coffee with the City of Murrieta series continues at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month via Zoom. The free events provide an opportunity for residents to connect with city officials. Information: http://bit.ly/MurrCWTCJune.
June 24 TEMECULA Summer concerts
Temecula holds its Summer Concert Series live and in-person at 7 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 26. The June 24 concert will feature Kanan Road at the Temecula Amphitheater, 30875 Rancho Vista Road. The cost is $5 per group, up to eight people; advance registration is required. The concerts are recorded live and available to view afterward on Facebook @TemeculaParksandRec. June 28 TEMECULA Historical entertainment
The Temecula Valley Historical Society will kick off a free summer series of historical entertainment at the Vail Headquarters Stage on Monday, June 28. The first show will feature Bonnie Martland and Karen Michaud presenting “Two Women Who Dared,” about suffragists Alva Vanderbilt Belmont and Alice Paul. June 29 MURRIETA State of the City
Mayor Scott Vinton will deliver Murrieta’s State of the City address at 7 p.m. June 29. The free event will be in Town Square Park. Prior to the address, the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce will host a private reception at the Murrieta Public Library Garden of Verses, 8 Town Square. July 4 TEMECULA Fireworks spectacular
Temecula-area residents will have two opportunities to enjoy Fourth of July fireworks shows this year. The first show will be at 8:45 p.m. at Pechanga Resort Casino, 45000 Pechanga Parkway. The second will launch at 9 p.m. from Ronald

July 4 LAKE ELSINORE July 4th celebration
The city of Lake Elsinore will host several events to celebrate Independence Day.
• The day’s events with kick off with a Party in the Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 18505 Malaga Road. There will be a children’s bike parade at 10:30 a.m., a Kid Fun Zone and a Rotary-sponsored barbecue.
• The Light Up the Lake Boat Parade will start at 8 p.m. Boat owners can decorate their vessels and participate (must have a valid nighttime lake pass). The parade can be viewed from Elm Grove Beach, Whiskers Fishing Beach and Launch Pointe (for a fee).
• A Fireworks Spectacular will begin at 9 p.m., with fireworks being launched from the T-Peninsula. The show will be paired with a Sky Concert synchronized to KOLA 99.9FM. Free viewing locations include Lakepoint Park, Summerly Park, Swick & Matich Park, Whiskers Fishing Beach, and a portion of the levee system. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations
Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. LifeStream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collections at its regular locations.
