Christian Koloko had 22 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots in leading Arizona to a dominating 80-62 win over No. 4 Michigan on Sunday night in the Roman Main Event at Las Vegas.

Arizona 80, No. 4 Michigan 62

The Wildcats (5-0) had to grind out a win over Wichita State on Friday in their first true test of the season. They put together an impressive allaround performanc­e in another measuring-stick game, leaving a top-five team in the desert dust.

Arizona was active defensivel­y all night and used its free-flowing movement on offense to set up easy shots. The Wildcats made 4-of-21 from 3, but hit 64 percent of its 2-point shots, including several alleyoops or point-blank baskets off penetratio­n.

Bennedict Mathurin added 16 points for Arizona.

No. 6 Purdue 80, No. 5 Villanova 74: Zach Edey scored 21 points and the Boilermake­rs (5-0) overcame an 11-point second-half deficit to beat Villanova

(3-2) and win the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament at Uncasville, Conn.

No. 17 Tennessee 89, No. 18 North Carolina 72: Freshman Zakai Zeigler scored 18 points to lead the Volunteers (3-1) over the Tar Heels (3-2) in the consolatio­n game of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament.

No. 22 St. Bonaventur­e 70, Marquette 54: Jaren Holmes had 19 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, Osun Osunniyi added 16 points and 11 rebounds and St. Bonaventur­e

(5-0) beat Marquette (5-1) to win the Charleston (S.C.) Classic.

West

Boise State 60, Mississipp­i 50: Marcus Shaver drilled a 3pointer to snap a late tie, then scored a driving layup sparking Boise State’s breakaway over the final six minutes to defeat Ole Miss (3-2) and earn fifth place at the Charleston Classic. The Broncos improve to 3-2.

Colorado State 93, Creighton

81: David Roddy had a career-high 36 points as Colorado State (5-0) beat the Bluejays (4-1) in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam in St. Thomas.

Utah State 73, Oklahoma 70: Justin Bean scored 24 points and grabbed a careerhigh 19 rebounds, Brock Miller hit two huge 3-pointers and Utah State (4-1) defeated the Sooners (4-1) in the championsh­ip game of the Myrtle Beach Invitation­al at Conway, S.C.

Air Force 73, BethuneCoo­kman 65: A.J. Walker had 22 points to earn MVP honors as the Falcons (4-1) defeated Bethune-Cookman (1-4) to win the Sunshine Slam bracket 1 at Daytona Beach, Fla.

Women

No. 1 South Carolina 80, No. 9 Oregon 63: Zia Cooke scored 20 points and Laeticia Amihere added 18 to help South Carolina (5-0) rout Oregon (3-1) in the Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals at Paradise Island, Bahamas.

No. 3 Maryland 79, No. 6 Baylor 76: Ashley Owusu scored 24 points and host Maryland (6-0) handed Baylor (3-1) its first loss of the postKim Mulkey era.
