Twins 7, Orioles 2: Ryan Jeffers hit a tiebreakin­g, three-run homer in the sixth inning and surging Minnesota defeated host Baltimore for its fourth straight victory. The Twins have won 12 of 13 to move six games over .500 (15-9) and into first place in the AL Central.

Yankees 9, Blue Jays: 1 Aaron Judge homered and drove in three runs, Jameson Taillon allowed one run in six innings, and visiting New York extended its winning streak to 11 games by beating Toronto. New York leads MLB with 34 home runs this season, including 23 in the past 11 games. Judge’s homer was his ninth, tying teammate Anthony Rizzo for the big-league lead.

Red Sox 4, Angels 0: Rafael Devers homered, Michael Wacha pitched into the sixth inning and host Boston beat Los Angeles. J.D. Martinez added a solo homer in the eighth to help seal it for Boston, which held the Angels to three hits in its second shutout of the season.

Royals 7, Cardinals 1: Bobby Witt Jr. hit his first major league home run, Brad Keller pitched shutout ball into the seventh inning and Kansas City beat visiting St. Louis to end a four-game losing streak.

Astros 4, Mariners 0: Dusty Baker became the 12th manager in major league history and the first Black man to reach 2,000 wins with host Houston’s victory over Seattle.

Rays 10, A’s 7 (10): Visiting Tampa Bay scored five runs in the top of the 10th and that was enough to hold off the A’s, who scored twice. Mike Zunino hit a two-run homer in the ninth to tie the game.
