Who is keeping an eye on our investment?

Re “Biden seeks $33B for Ukraine, signaling longterm commitment” (April 29): The U-T reports that Joe Biden is seeking $33 billion for Ukraine. That is a principal sum of money. What comes to mind is what do we have to show for oversight as to how all this money is being used?

Some of the weaponry is complicated and requires extensive and comprehensive training. It is doubtful Ukrainian forces have the ability to be successful. Pouring money is one thing. How the funds are being used is another. This is political move and irresponsible to say the least. Rodgers T. Smith
