2 killed, 1 injured in stabbing in Jamacha-Lomita
Two men were killed and a woman was injured when a fight escalated into a stabbing at a home in the JamachaLomita neighborhood of San Diego early Sunday, police said.
Police arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the attack, San Diego police Lt. Jud Campbell told OnScene TV. Neither the suspect’s name nor the names of the victims were released.
The stabbing was reported about 2:40 a.m. on Carlsbad Street near Innsdale Avenue, just west of Elkelton Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found the three victims inside a home, Campbell said.
The officers started first aid, but two of the victims — a 32-year-old man and a 34-year-old man — died, Campbell said. The third victim, a 24-year-old woman, suffered an injury that was not life-threatening. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Campbell said a physical altercation broke out during a gathering at the home. During the fight, the three victims were stabbed.
Detectives had not determined what prompted the fight, Campbell said. The lieutenant said detectives were talking to “quite a few” witnesses.
