Dodgers 11, Pirates 1: Justin Turner hit three of Los Angeles’ eight doubles and finished with four hits and four RBIs in a victory over host Pittsburgh. The Dodgers hadn’t hit eight doubles in a game since moving to Los Angeles from Brooklyn in 1958. The franchise record is nine.

Brewers 5, Reds 4: Josh Hader reached 500 career strikeouts, Luis Urias hit tying home run and made a clutch catch and visiting Milwaukee held off Cincinnati to stop the Reds’ season-high, two-game winning streak

Mets 4, Nationals 2: James McCann’s sacrifice fly drove in the go-ahead score during a three-run sixth inning, and Carlos Carrasco nearly got to the eighth again, helping the NL East-leading New York beat Washington.

(IL) Red Sox 9, Braves 4: Rafael Devers hit his first career grand slam and visiting Boston broke out for clean-shaven manager Alex Cora in a win over Atlanta that ended a five-game skid.

(IL) Orioles 5, Cardinals 3: Cedric Mullins and Tyler Nevin each homered and Kyle Bradish struck out 11 over seven strong innings for his first career win, leading visiting Baltimore to a victory over St. Louis. Harrison Bader hit an inside-the-park home run in the sixth for the Cardinals’ first one at the current Busch Stadium and first at home since 1985.

Giants 9, Rockies 2: Catcher Curt Casali went 3-for-3 with two RBIs from the No. 9 spot as host San Francisco won its fourth straight, beating Colorado. Alex Wood pitched 51⁄3 innings for the win, while Antonio Senzatela took the loss after allowing five earned runs in 32⁄3 innings.

Diamondbac­ks 9, Marlins 3: Jordan Luplow hit a two-run homer as Arizona’s second batter of the game, and the Diamondbac­ks went on to clobber visiting Florida.
