Health care provider raises $300,000 at gala
NORTH COUNTY
San Marcos-based nonprofit community health care provider TrueCare raised $300,000 at its recent gala, themed “Magical Masquerade,” which drew about 300 attendees to the Omni La Costa Resort.
TrueCare serves nearly 60,000 patients a year in North County and south Riverside County and focuses on care of diverse underserved families. Proceeds from the gala are earmarked to provide an additional 3,500 visits to rural residents through the TrueCare mobile unit and more than 6,500 Uber Health rides to and from patients’ homes to their health provider along with 85,000 virtual health consultations. The funds will also be used to increase capacity for virtual health consultations beyond the 84,000 completed in 2021.
The Conrad Prebys Foundation provided a $100,000 matching grant of the contributions to TrueCare’s mobile units.
