CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR

-

After easily surviving a recall last year, Gov. Gavin Newsom is expected to cruise to re-election. The only question in the June 7 gubernatorial election is who will be the second highest vote-getter and make the Nov. 8 runoff with him. Sunday and today, we published partial Q&As from Newsom and six of his seven challengers who have raised at least $80,000 for their campaigns. One didn’t respond to our requests. Today’s candidates have raised far less than Newsom and the others we highlighted Sunday. Today, we feature military officer/attorney Shawn Collins and executive officer/attorney David Lozano, both Republicans, and former Nevada City Mayor Reinette Senum, an independent. Please visit sandiegouniontribune.com/gov to read full responses from all seven candidates.
