who turns 84 on May 28, had six straight 40-point playoff games from April 3-13, 1965. All of the games came in the Western Division Finals against the Baltimore Bullets. You read that right, Baltimore was in the West. There were only nine teams in the league at the time. The Lakers won the series 4-2. West had games of 49, 52, 44, 48, 43 and 42 points. West averaged 44.7 points in 10 playoff games that postseason.
