Five signs you may be a hypochondriac:

1. Regularly checking yourself for signs of illness.

2. Concern that mild symptoms, such as a runny nose or gurgling gut, are indicators of serious disease.

3. Frequent visits to the doctor. Or conversely, avoiding the doctor because they’re sure to find something seriously wrong with you.

4. Excessive talking about one’s health, or lack thereof.

5. Spending a lot of time with Dr. Google assessing self-identified symptoms.
