EL CAJON — Former El Cajon resident Judy Tivendell, 78, died May 12, 2022, in her sleep in Salt Lake City, Utah. At her request, no service will be held. Judy was born October 23, 1943 in Quebec, Canada to George and Genevieve Tivendell. She grew up on Prince George St. in an English community and enjoyed books and classical music from a young age. She was the oldest of three children and did not let her younger siblings forget this fact. She enjoyed the Moonlight Sonata played by her mother, and admired her father deeply. At this young age, her faith in God, Holy Trinity, and Saving Grace was formed in the Catholic Church. She was educated at McGill University and then pursued a career as a nurse, serving patients in San Diego county for for over forty years. She worked at UCSD Medical Center, followed by a long career as a home-health nurse. She was known as a highly skilled nurse who touched the lives of many. Judy’s faith in Christ the Savior was rekindled in her final years after she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she inspired her children to greater spiritual heights through her courageous suffering. She loved her children dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Monica Maloney, and her three sons Luis Moran, Kevin Moran, and Christopher Brown. Condolences may be sent to 761 Blackthorne Ave. El Cajon, CA 92020. May God Bless the memory of Judy Tivendell.
