State needs leaders who will lower gas tax
Re “California surplus expected to hit unprecedented $97 billion under Newsom’s budget plan” (May 15): California has a $97 billion surplus. Democrats are unwilling to let go of one red cent in gas tax revenue to ease some of the
burden of surging gas prices. If you are happy with the current situation in California, keep voting for the same agenda, otherwise, consider eliminating the Democratic majority in Sacramento.
