May 21 TEMECULA CultureFes­t

Temecula will celebrate World Day of Cultural Diversity with its inaugural Temecula CultureFes­t from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21. The free event will include live music, dancing, special performanc­es and activities showcasing and exploring different cultures and traditions. May 22 TEMECULA Sunday Funday at Vail HQ

May 23 TEMECULA Blood drive

The Promenade Temecula mall will host a mobile blood drive with the San Diego Blood Bank from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 23, in the plaza in front of Edwards Theatre at 40820 Winchester Road. May 23 MURRIETA Dog Tales

The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnershi­p with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. The library is at 8 Town Square.

May 24 MURRIETA Coffee talks

May 27 MURRIETA Paint party class

The Alternativ­e Recreation Program will hold a beginnerfr­iendly paint party class from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the Community Center in Murrieta, 41810 Juniper St. A profession­al instructor from Pinot’s Palette will guide participan­ts through creating a sunset painting. Registered participan­ts will be provided a sandwich and light refreshmen­ts. Cost is $2 per person (caregivers are free), plus $6 for supplies. The city of Temecula will host A Tribute to Heroes: Memorial Day Observance concert featuring the Temecula Valley Symphony at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at the Temecula Civic Center, 41000 Main St.

May 30 MURRIETA Memorial Day observance

The city of Murrieta will pay tribute to fallen service members at a Memorial Day Observance Ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday, May 30, at the Veterans Memorial at Town Square Park, 11 Town Square. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. LifeStream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations. All donations are tested for COVID-19 antibodies. The Murrieta donation center is at 40365 Murrieta Hot Springs Road, and is open seven days a week; hours vary. Informatio­n, visit www.lstream.org.
