Phillies 4, Dodgers 3: Max Muncy’s two-run fielding error in the 10th capped a wild late-inning sequence and allowed host Philadelph­ia to beat Los Angeles. Muncy didn’t field a slow grounder cleanly, allowing Garrett Stubbs to score the tying run and Roman Quinn to score the winning run ahead of the throw home.

Cubs 5, Diamondbac­ks 4: Patrick Wisdom and Frank Schwindel hit consecutiv­e homers against Ian Kennedy in the eighth inning, and Chicago beat visiting Arizona to avoid a four-game series sweep. Schwindel and Wisdom also hit back-to-back homers during Chicago’s loss on Saturday.

Cardinals 18, Pirates 4: Albert Pujols hit two home runs to boost his career count to 683, and star catcher Yadier Molina made his first pitching appearance to close out St. Louis’ romp over host Pittsburgh. Molina gave up a pair of homers and four runs while working the ninth inning, completing a three-game sweep.

Marlins 4, Braves 3: Sandy Alcantara pitched a six-hitter and Miami beat visiting Atlanta. Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. extended his on-base games streak to 29.

Nationals 8, Brewers 2: Lane Thomas hit two RBI doubles and Washington broke out in a win over host Milwaukee, which lost Freddy Peralta to shoulder tightness in the fourth inning.

Mets 2, Rockies 0: Francisco Lindor broke a scoreless tie with a single in the sixth inning, four pitchers combined on a six-hitter and visiting New York beat Colorado. This was the first shutout of Colorado at Coors Field since Aug. 31, 2020, vs. the Padres.
