Harrah’s Resort Southern California is set to award $150,000 in grants to area nonprofits as part of its annual charitable program, “All-In 4 Change.”

Nonprofits from San Diego, Riverside and Orange counties can apply for the program from July 1 to 31. Applications will be reviewed by the judging committee. Eligible applicants will be notified Aug. 9 that they made it to the next step.

Community members can vote for their favorite nonprofits in the group of finalists from Aug. 15 to 29. When the polls close, votes will be tabulated and will count for 50 percent of the overall score. The remaining 50 percent of the score will be determined by a committee at Harrah’s Resort Southern California.

Winners will be announced at the “All-In 4 Change” luncheon on Sept. 30.

The following grants are slated to be awarded this year: • First-place grant: $55,000

• Second-place grant: $25,000

• Third-place grant: $15,000

• Fourth-place grant: $10,000

• Fifth-place grant: $5,000

• 10 honorable mention grants at $4,000 each

The resort, which is located between San Diego and Los Angeles, in a mountain valley along the San Luis Rey River in the Valley Center area, has donated a portion of its profits to local charitable causes since opening its doors 20 years ago. To date, the resort has donated more than $4.3 million in cash and in-kind gifts to community organizations. The “All-In 4 Change” program was created in 2015.

“Harrah’s Resort Southern California has always been on the forefront of giving back to organizations who strengthen their communities and bring about positive change,” said Bo Mazzetti, chairman of the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians, which owns Harrah’s Resort Southern California. “We are extremely thankful for all of the community support we have received throughout these past 20 years.”
