July 31 TEMECULA Sunday Funday at Vail HQ

Vail Headquarte­rs will host its weekly Sunday Funday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with local vendors, train and stagecoach rides, family activities and a DJ on the Vail Headquarte­rs Stage. Vail Headquarte­rs is at 32115 Temecula Parkway. Informatio­n: www.vailhq.com.

Aug. 1 MURRIETA Dog Tales

The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnershi­p with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading-education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10minute slot. The library is at 8 Town Square.

Aug. 2 TEMECULA Farmers market

Through Aug. 4 TEMECULA Summer lunch program

The city of Temecula’s Community Services Department is providing free lunches and enrichment activities to children and teens at its annual Summer Food Service Program at Michael “Mike” Naggar Community Park through Aug. 4. Meals are served every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon to anyone 18 or younger, or adults with disabiliti­es, on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Parent supervisio­n is required. The park is at 29119 Margarita Road.

Aug. 5 TEMECULA Art Off the Walls

The city of Temecula holds its free Art Off the Walls program on the first Friday of the month at The Lot on Main, 42051 Main St. There will be an artist reception for featured artists in The Merc with live music and refreshmen­ts. Aug. 5 PERRIS Movies in the park

The city of Perris will host its next free Movies in the Park event at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5. Grab a blanket and the kids and settle in to watch “Cruella” under the stars at Frank Eaton Park, 3600 Bradley Road. The event is free, and the movie begins at dusk. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. LifeStream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations.
