(8) San Diego (14-7-1) vs. (6) Monte Vista (14-5-3)

San Diego advanced with a 3-0 win over No. 9 Fallbrook, a 2-0 upset of No. 1 Pacific Ridge and a 4-1 win over No. 4 Oceanside in the semifinals. Monte Vista advanced by beating No. 11 Imperial 3-2, No. 3 Santa Fe Christian 5-0 and No. 2 La Jolla 4-3 in PKs in the semis.

Division V

At University City High School

4:30 p.m.

(2) Southwest-El Centro (17-12) vs. (1) Madison (16-6-1) Southwest advanced with a pair of 2-0 shutouts over Liberty Charter and O’Farrell Charter. Madison beat El Cajon 4-2 and Mar Vista 2-0.

BOYS SOCCER Division III

At Bonita Vista High School

7:30 p.m.

(5) Mt. Carmel (13-6-3) vs. (3) Bishop’s (19-1-2)

Mt. Carmel blanked Mater Dei Catholic 5-0 and Rancho Buena Vista 1-0 to reach the semifinals, then edged No. 1-seeded Crawford 3-2 in PKs. Bishop’s beat Bonita Vista 3-0 and Monte Vista 2-0 to reach the finals.

Division V

At University City High School

7:30 p.m.

(2) Palo Verde Valley (17-0-2) vs. (1) Pruess UCSD (17-5-1) Palo Verde Valley pitched a pair of shutouts to reach the finals, beating Heath Sciences 2-0 and El Capitan 1-0. Pruess beat Mar Vista 2-0 and Guajome Park 4-1 in the semis.

GIRLS BASKETBALL Division III

At Mira Mesa High School

5 p.m.

(4) Montgomery (23-6) vs. (2) Granite Hills (26-5) Montgomery advanced with wins over Madison (79-43), Sage Creek (60-52) and San Diego (65-46) in the semifinals. Granite Hills beat Brawley (50-31), Point Loma (40-23) and Steele Canyon (42-40) to advance to the title game.

Division V

At Otay Ranch High School

5 p.m.

(10) Mar Vista (11-12) vs. (1) Valhalla (15-14)

Mar Vista pulled an upset in every game, beating No. 7 Escondido Adventist Academy (55-34), No. 2 High Tech San Diego (38-36) and No. 6 Mission Bay (50-33) in the semis. Valhalla cruised to the title game with wins over SET (51-17), High Tech Mesa (72-31) and Southwest-El Centro (55-31).
