Rangers 3, Flyers 2: Vladimir Tarasenko scored the winner 2:32 into overtime, and had assists on goals by Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider to lead the Rangers past host Philadelph­ia. The Rangers won their final game before Patrick Kane, acquired Tuesday in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks, makes his debut for the team tonight at Madison Square Garden. Owen Tippett and Scott Laughton scored for the Flyers.

Oilers 5, Maple Leafs 2: Connor McDavid had two goals and an assist, and Edmonton beat visiting Toronto handily. Zach Hyman and Klim Kostin each had a goal and an assist, and Kailer Yamamoto also scored as Edmonton won for the third time in five games. For McDavid, it was his fifth straight multi-goal game. He became the fifth player in NHL history to have such a run, joining Joe Malone (1921), Punch Broadbent (1922), Alexander Mogilny (1993) and Mario Lemieux (1989). Mitchell Marner had a goal and an assist, and David Kampf also scored for the Maple Leafs, who had won five of their previous six games.

Stars 4, Coyotes 2: Defenseman Miro Heiskanen ended a 19game goal drought by scoring the winning goal early in the third period and Tyler Seguin had two goals and an assist as host Dallas rallied from a two-goal first-period deficit to beat Arizona. Jake Oettinger made 18 saves for his 25th win, tied for sixth place in the NHL. Clayton Keller and Barrett Hayton scored for the Coyotes.

Devils 7, Avalanche 5: Dawson Mercer had a goal and three assists, and Tomas Tatar had a goal and two assists to lead visiting New Jersey. Nathan MacKinnon had two goals to extend his points streak to nine games and Mikko Rantanen scored his 41st of the season for Colorado.

Golden Knights 3, Hurricanes 2: Reilly Smith scored at the 16:55 mark of the third period to give host Vegas the victory. Jack Eichel scored the previous two goals for the Knights. Martin Necas and Jordan Staal scored for Carolina.

Capitals 3, Ducks 2: Tom Wilson scored his second goal of the game 1:09 into overtime for visiting Washington. Troy Terry scored for the fourth straight game, Trevor Zegras had a goal and an assist, and the Ducks had a three-game win streak snapped.
