Allegro Restaurant and Bar in Little Italy has launched two special weekly menus. On Tuesday evenings, a new “date night” dinner for two is being offered for $79 and includes two appetizers, a daily pasta tossed in a Parmesan cheese wheel, and a shared dessert. On Thursdays, the Truffle Experience features a three-course meal for two priced at $90. George’s updates spring menu: George’s at the Cove executive chef Masa Kojima has introduced four new entrees for spring, including three featuring sustainabl­e seafood. Dishes include seared rare local yellowtail with eggplant miso purée; bone-in Alaska halibut with English peas and roast fennel; shrimp fra diavolo with linguine and Calabrian chili; and poblano spaghetti with charred peppers, corn and cotija cheese. Fort Oak introduces Oyster Monday with Friends: This Mission Hills restaurant, which already offers Oyster Monday specials from 4 to 6 p.m. weekly, has introduced a monthly bar takeover series to accompany the oyster bar events. Bar manager Jess Stewart will highlight sustainabl­e, community-focused artisan spirits at these events. On June 5, cocktails featuring Ilegal Mezcal will be served. Wolfie’s Carousel Bar launches lunch menu: This revolving carousel bar in Little Italy has introduced a “three-rotation” lunch special from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays. Menu options include burger royale, moules frites, jambon beurre, nicoise salad and heirloom tomato salad. Wolfie’s guarantees meal service within three rotations of the bar, which equates to 43.5 minutes. Farmer & the Seahorse spring cocktails: Chris D’Apice, bar manager for this Torrey Pines restaurant, has introduced three new cocktails for spring:, the tiki-style Kiwi Plunder with aged rum and jerk kiwi cordial; the Garden Vesper, with green-pepper-infused gin, vodka and Lillet Blanc aperitivo; and the Spring Blossom, with locally made You & Yours Distilling’s Sunday Gin, rose cordial and lemon.

Scoop ice cream fest returns in June: The fifth annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival will be presented next month in North Park, with samples provided by more than 20 local ice cream, gelato and paleta shops.
