May 19 MENIFEE Night Market

Made Local will hold its Menifee Trading Post night market featuring local artists and makers, food and live entertainm­ent from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Mercato Del Sole, 30141 Antelope Road. May 20 TEMECULA CultureFes­t

The city of Temecula will commemorat­e World Day for Cultural Diversity with its Temecula CultureFes­t from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Temecula Civic Center, 41000 Main St. This free event will include live music, dancing, special performanc­es, and activities for the entire family. There will also be a vendor area showcasing different cultures and traditions.

May 20 HEMET Cleanup Day

The city of Hemet and CR&R Inc. are hosting a free community cleanup event for city residents from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 20, at the Hemet Public Library, 300 E. Latham Ave. Acceptable items include large items such as sofas, chairs, refrigerat­ors and other household items, green waste and electronic­s. The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnershi­p with

Love on a Leash, provides trained reading-education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10-minute slot. The library is at 8 Town Square.

The San Diego Blood Bank will hold several blood drives hosted by local businesses in Southwest Riverside County through the end of May. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group as well as for the top three veterans, police and first responders. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. LifeStream hosts mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations.
