‘DEENA ALTMAN: FEMALE RISING’

San Diego artist Deena Altman presents this eight-piece series of watercolor­s that explore the unspoken challenges that women face as society’s second-class citizens. The paintings follow women through life, including a heroic toddler, a teen struggling with her true self, a pregnant woman and a wise elder. Opens Saturday and runs through Feb. 4.
