It’s 1 a.m. and you need carbs.

If you live in or near downtown, soon you will have one more option that isn’t pizza or fries.

Insomnia Cookies announced Wednesday that its new bakery will open soon in the Gaslamp Quarter. A spokesperson didn’t reply to questions about the precise date or location, but the San Diego Tourism Authority previously listed the address as 542 Fifth Ave. This is its second location in San Diego County.

The cookie shop, with 16 other locations in California including one in Pacific Beach, specializes in warm desserts at all hours, from mid-morning to the middle of the night. Their menu includes classics (snickerdoodles and brownies), some vegan options and a mix of festive and seasonal cookies (like Confetti Deluxe, with sprinkles and vanilla-flavored chips).

“Here to the rescue when the craving for something sweet hits (even at 3 a.m.!), Insomnia Cookies offers in-store pickup and delivery options for customers to experience the company’s signature warm, delicious cookies,” the company said in a press release.

“To get fans in the holiday spirit, consumers will be awarded free menu items on the Jack App every day from Dec. 1 to Dec. 24. Join the Jack Pack now through the Jack App or on jackinthebox.com to get in on the fun!” the company writes.

Here are some of the free snacks and meals being offered: breakfast sandwich, burger, french fries, soda or milkshake, and snacks (e.g. egg rolls or tacos).
