“Wild Nights With Emily,” 6:30 p.m. June 20, Castro. “Nights” director Madeleine Olnek will be in conversation at 4 p.m. June 21 at the Roxie Theater, in a free event.
World centerpiece:
“And Breathe Normally,” 6:30 p.m., June 19, Castro.
Closing night: “Studio 54,” a documentary
about the heyday of the famed Manhattan nightclub, 7 p.m. June 24, Castro, followed by a party at Oasis, 298 11th St., San Francisco.
Women’s focus:
“Dykes, Camera, Action!,” 4 p.m. June 19, Castro, followed by a free panel discussion about documentaries by queer women.
Frameline Award:
This year’s award will posthumously honor Oscar-winning Bay Area documentary filmmaker Debra Chasnoff, who died last year. The award presentation at 4 p.m. June 20 at the Castro will be followed by a screening of Chasnoff’s 1996 film “It’s Elementary: Talking About Gay Issues in School.”
