Wallace “Lee” Thacher

Wallace “Lee” Thacher passed away June 13, 2018 at the age of 87. He was a native of Oakland California. Lee attended Fremont High and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in engineering. He was a sergeant in the Army during the Korean conflict and worked for a number of companies as a mechanical engineer. Lee’s favorite activities were designing and building machines, working with wood, and repairing cars. He was also an avid sports fan. Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores of 56 years; sons, Robert and Thomas; sister, Joan Arsenault and many nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at St Theresa Church 30 Mandalay Rd. Oakland, Wednesday, June 20th at 10:30 am. Interment will be private.
