Luxurious countryside getaway in santa rosa

Sumptuous details, a closeknit community with upscale amenities and an enticing leaseback program await the future owners of a newly built Mediterranean villa in Santa Rosa’s Mayacama community.

Set on 675 acres, Mayacama’s landscape boasts tree-studded hillsides, rolling grasslands and creeks that nourish the abundant wildlife that call the region home. There’s also a luxurious getaway in the middle of it all — a threebedroom that arrives fully furnished.

“Everything is included, down to the forks and knives,” said Tim Hoffmann, director of sales and marketing for Mayacama, who is listing 1240 Mayacama Club Drive, Residence 405, for $3.5 million.

Residents buy more than a place to stay at Mayacama, Hoffman said. They become part of a close-knit community with access to superlative amenities like a European-inspired spa, a fitness center, a wine club, tennis courts and a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

“When you buy here, you become part of a family,” Hoffmann said.

A vaulted, beamed ceiling shelters a great room with a tile floor and gourmet kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances. Sliding glass doors open to patios spanning the length of the residence.

“The idea was to get as much indoor/outdoor living potential as possible,” Hoffmann said. “The kitchen is essentially outside, but it can be closed off by the sliding glass.”

Hardwood flooring graces the bedrooms, and the owner’s suite offers a spa bathroom with dual vanities and a soaking tub. Clerestory windows welcome sunlight into the master bedroom, while French doors open to a tile patio.

The development offers an intriguing leaseback program for the villa. An owner who leases their residence back to the ownership group for eight months is guaranteed to have a variety of costs associated with the unit covered. Participants in the leaseback program get their utilities, property tax, maintenance and reserves paid for the entire year.

“If you factor out the costs over 10 years, people who participate in the leaseback program can save more than a million dollars,” he said.

Five-star amenities like 24-hour concierge and daily housekeeping are also available. Learn more at www.mayacama.com.
