Robert Leo Bianco

On Thursday, August 16, 2018, Robert Leo Bianco, loving husband and father of three children passed away peacefully at the age of 82. Bob was born July 14, 1936 in San Francisco, California to Mercedes and Leo Bianco. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1954 and the University of San Francisco in 1958. Later that year on August 31, 1958, he married Gerayne Ann Solheim. He graduated with honors from the USF School of Law and joined the Army JAG Corp., attaining the rank of Captain. After his service in the Army, he practiced civil litigation in San Francisco for 56 years. In addition to practicing law, Bob was a professor at USF School of Law, teaching civil discovery, trial practice and legal ethics for 37 years. He eventually became a Juror on the Napa County Grand Jury.

In addition to his esteemed law career, Bob also had a passion for making wine and was an owner of Cyrus Creek Winery in the Napa Valley. He was an avid lover of opera music, photograph­y, gardening and traveling with his wife of 59 years. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his generous, charitable, kind and compassion­ate spirit.

Bob is survived by his wife, Gerayne, his three children Michael, Robert and Gregory, his brother Ronald, his sister Sandra Breen and seven grandchild­ren.

A memorial service will be held on September 28, 2018 at 10:00 am, at St. Ignatius Church located at 650 Parker Street, San Francisco.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in his name to Collabria Care Hospice of Napa Valley.
