Spotlight on: DE Cassius Marsh: After signing a two-year, $7.7 million extension in the offseason, Marsh hasn’t quieted concerns about the 49ers’ lack of outside pass-rush pressure. The 49ers’ top edge rusher has zero sacks in four games and had a would-be sack negated by his own face-mask penalty. The 49ers have eight sacks — only five teams have fewer — and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (3.5 sacks) is their only player with more than one. Marsh will attempt to get on the board while working primarily against Arizona LT D.J. Humphries, a 2015 first-round pick making his 23rd career start.

Injuries: 49ers — LT Joe Staley (knee), CB Richard Sherman (calf), WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) and CB Jimmie Ward (hamstring) are among seven questionable players. Cardinals — WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring, back) is questionable.

THINGS TO WATCH FOR

 With WR Dante Pettis (knee) out, the 49ers activated WR Victor Bolden from the suspended list Saturday, which hints that Goodwin will be unavailable. On Friday, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Goodwin had a 50-50 chance to play.

 The Cardinals have won six straight games against the 49ers, the longest streak by either team in the history of the 53-game series. The 49ers’ last win against Arizona, on Dec. 28, 2014, came in Jim Harbaugh’s final game as the head coach.

 Arizona Pro Bowl RB David Johnson (187 yards) is averaging 3.3 yards per carry, which is the fourth-lowest among 23 RBs with at least 45 carries.
