Jane Margaret Marovich passed away peacefully, from complicati­ons caused by a recent stroke, on November 20, 2018 at the age of 72. She was the loving wife of Michael William Marovich for 49 years. She was the beloved mother of Christophe­r (Carrie), Nicholas (Melissa), and Catherine (Tom) and the grandmothe­r of Alex, Michael, Owen, Melanie, Emily, and Samuel.

Jane is survived by her brothers Jon and Tom and her sister Bernadette. Her half-brother, Wayne, pre-deceased her. Jane is sister-in-law to Ilona and Jim Radetich, Ginger and Kim Caldwell, Kathleen Alexander, Debra Temple, and Nancy Alexander. She is Aunt Jane to Janine, Nina, Lisa, Michael, Sean, Amy, Meghan, and Ian.

Jane was born to Alice and Constantin­e (Tex) Alexander on August 11, 1946 -- the second of four children. She was raised in San Francisco and Pacifica and moved to Petaluma in 1971. She attended St. John’s Ursuline High School, College of San Mateo, and Providence College of Nursing. Jane was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. Most of her career was working at Petaluma Valley Hospital in the Recovery Room.

Jane loved to travel and during her lifetime she traveled extensivel­y with her husband, Mike, throughout the world. After they both retired in 2000, Jane and Mike enjoyed many cruises and various vacation trips with the family. She enjoyed knitting, walking, and cooking and loved surroundin­g herself with her family and spending time with them. She was active in her church - - - St. Vincent de Paul, Petaluma. Jane’s graceful presence and infinite kindness will always be remembered and cherished.

A Vigil Service will be held on Thursday, December 6 at 5:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma. A private family service will be held on Friday, December 7 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Vincent de Paul Church, Petaluma or St. Anthony’s Dining Room, San Francisco.
