_1 Severe storm: Heavy rains caused street flooding Saturday in Houston and spilled over bayous in southeaste­rn Texas. The National Weather Service reported that as much as 6 inches of rain drenched areas of Harris County from Friday to Saturday morning. A homeless man was rescued from high water Saturday in downtown Houston. He was found after authoritie­s responded to a submerged vehicle. _2 FBI agent wounded: An FBI agent was shot in the shoulder Saturday in New York City during a street gunfight, police said. The unidentifi­ed male agent was struck while on duty at 3:30 p.m. in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. FBI officials said the agent was in stable condition at a hospital and two suspects were in custody. Police told WABC-TV that two undercover FBI agents were sitting in a car when shots were fired from a vehicle driving by, and the agents returned fire. According to the officials, the vehicle with bullet holes was left at a body shop. One suspect drove to a nearby hospital in another vehicle, officials said. Other details of the shooting were not immediatel­y available. _3 Girl killed: Police in Lumberton, N.C., have charged a man with killing a 13-year-old girl who was kidnapped last month from a mobile home park. The FBI said Saturday that Michael Ray McLellan has been charged in the kidnapping and slaying of Hania Noelia Aguilar. McLellan, 34, faces first degree murder, rape and eight other felony charges. He had been released from prison in June and was still on parole from a 2017 felony breaking and entering conviction. He was previously convicted in 2007 of assault with a deadly weapon and was released on parole in 2016. He is being held without bond. On Nov. 5, police said Hania went outside to start a relative’s vehicle to prepare to leave for the bus stop when a man forced her into the vehicle and fled. Police found her body several weeks later in a body of water 10 miles away. _4 Officer arrested: A California Highway Patrol officer has been arrested on suspicion of sexual misconduct with two teenage girls. Robert Stephano, 44, was arrested Friday in Twentynine Palms (San Bernardino County). He was booked for allegedly committing lewd and lascivious acts with a 14-year-old girl and communicat­ing with and arranging to meet a minor to commit a sex crime. Investigat­ors with the San Bernardino County Sheriff ’s Department say Stephano solicited minors for sex as far back as 2010. Stephano was being held on $250,000 bail.

_5 Holiday wreaths: Balsam wreaths aboard a tractor-trailer caravan are on their way to Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place outside Washington for more than 400,000 active-duty U.S. service members, veterans and their families. The Wreaths Across America convoy departed Saturday from Columbia Falls, Maine, where the wreaths are made, and will stop at schools, memorials and veterans group gatherings along the 740-mile journey to northern Virginia.
