breach occurred between Aug. 28 and Dec. 3. Caribou said it’s possible that customer name and credit card information may have been taken.

The apps promoted the lifestyle of their families, with fans paying $2.99 a month to find out details such as Khloe Kardashian’s workout routines or Kourtney Kardashian’s family recipes. Industry analysts speculated the apps’ demise could be related to their waning popularity and the opportunity to make more money in other businesses.
