Resident of Sunnyvale Frances Ann (Rubio) Latz, 81, of Sunnyvale, CA, passed away on December 21, 2018. Beloved mother of Gregory (Kathie) Latz, Johanna Latz and Jacqueline (Steve) Todesco. Fran was predecease­d by her parents Jose (Pa) and Margarita Rubio and her treasured husband, Paul Latz.

Fran was born in San Francisco. She lived most of her life in Santa Clara before spending her retirement years with Paul in Coarsegold, then finally settling in Sunnyvale to be home near her family. Fran raised her children (Greg, Jo & Jac) to be resilient, loving, hardworkin­g and kind. She handled dataentry for Fairchild and Litton where she met lifelong friends. Fran was known for dropping everything to help anyone in need, for having an unforgetta­ble smile and the most joyful laugh. Fran found joy by spending time with her family including her cherished sisters, Dolores (Dennis) Sullivan, Mary Calica, Rose Valentino and her adoring brothers, Joe (Yuri) Rubio and Frank (Julie) Rubio. She also loved to play card games with anyone willing to lose $1 per game.

Fran is also survived by and took great pride in her grandchild­ren, Vincent Todesco, Juliana Todesco and Victoria Latz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held honoring Fran on January 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Clare Chapel at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made to www.toysfortot­s.org.
