Julia Avramides of San Francisco, CA, died at home on December 29, 2018, after a long battle with cancer.

Daughter of Demetrius (James) Avramides and Eleni (Helen) Petropoula­kos. She graduated from high school in Lowell, Mass. in 1947. Employed for many years at Lowell Electric Light, she maintained connection with many of those friends throughout her life. Julie moved to San Francisco in 1959 where she was employed by PG&E until retirement in April 1987.

Julie was very active in giving her time to several charities, among them, The AID’s Emergency Fund and The Breast Cancer Emergency Fund for which she received an award for her hard work and diligence. Survived by her Husband Myron Jones; Stepsons Bryn Jones and the late Keith Jones; Sister-in-Law Rosalie Clark and Brother-in-law Ronald Clark; Son Adam Slavan and Family; Sister Mary Glavin; Niece Julie Glavin and Julie’s sons, Clayton and Rory Baker whom were very close and dear to their Aunt.

Survivors also include Nephew Francis Glavin Jr. and Family; Niece Elena Sousa and Family; Nephew James McKenna and Family; and Steven McKenna.

Julie will always be remembered by family and friends alike for her effervesce­nce, boundless energy and vitality; and distinctly chic style.

Memorial services will be held in San Francisco at 1360 5th Ave. from 2 - 5pm, Sunday January 13th, 2019; which would have been Julie’s 90th birthday.
