Dorothy E. (Horan) Graham

Dorothy left us peacefully on December 26th at 99 years of age.

She was a true San Franciscan and lived in her native city all her life. She was the second of five children born to the late William Horan and Katherine Sheeran. Dorothy was the devoted wife of the late Bill Graham (SFFD) who was her sweetheart and best friend for 56 years; and was the mother of their cherished daughter, the late Kathy Graham Snyder (Kent). Dorothy is survived by her devoted sister, Sister Mary Frances CSJ, and predeceased by her brother, Francis, and sisters Barbara Brady and Julie Bose. She was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Dorothy attended Star of the Sea elementary and high schools. Following graduation from business school, she was a member of the Bank of Americas Founders Club and worked there as an executive secretary for over 40 years. Her strong faith which she inherited from her loving parents was the cornerstone of her life. She was an active member, volunteer and supporter of Star of the Sea Parish. Dorothy and her husband, Bill, enjoyed many loving and lasting relationships which they treasured through their school years, and through their work years at the B of A and SFFD.

Dorothy truly loved her family and had a concern for each one’s welfare. She loved family events, especially the yearly picnic. She was an avid reader of historical biographies and anything related to San Francisco. Beauty in any shape or form caught her admiring eye. She loved dancing, gardening and walking with Bill. For many years she enjoyed working on hook rugs.

Dorothy will always be remembered for her loyalty, honesty, compassion and endless kindness. We will always have treasured memories.
