-

Jeff was born in Santa Barbara, but his home has been in the Bay Area since he was three weeks old. He died tragically in an automobile accident in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on December 24, 2018, after suffering a heart attack.

Jeff was a loyal friend to many around the world. He had an inquisitive mind, a quick wit and a lust for life. Jeff was a world traveler and adventurer, an entrepreneur, a spiritual seeker, a lover of people, good food and wine. His boundless energy was amazing. He loved and promoted rugby in San Francisco and was a huge fan of the San Francisco Giants, the 49ers and the Warriors. He had a deep appreciation of art and recently discovered a hidden talent for painting. He spent his time between San Francisco, Cabo San Lucas, the Sanctuary on the island of Koh Phangan in Thailand, and most recently Australia. He loved being wherever he could surf.

Jeff formerly owned the Kezar Club on Stanyan Street in San Francisco, and then the Love Shack in Cabo San Lucas and Local Eight restaurant in San Jose del Cabo.

Jeff was pre-deceased by his father Bruce G. Morrison. He is survived by his mother Ann Bishop Knight, step-father Hollinshead T. Knight, siblings Kirk D. Morrison, Julia L. Knight, Stephen M. Knight, Jennifer K. Knight; and life-partner and soul mate Lee-Ann Gottani.

Jeff attended Washington High School in San Francisco, and was graduated from New England College in Henniker, NH, where his passion for rugby began.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held in the garden at Christ Episcopal Church, 70 Santa Rosa Avenue, Sausalito, CA, on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 3:00 in the afternoon. His ashes will be interred in the garden columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts either to the Surfrider Foundation, (Surfrider SF, PO Box 193652, San Francisco, CA 94119, or through PayPal); or to the Rugby Scholarship Fund (memo Jeff Morrison, New England College, attn: Advancement, 98 Bridge St, Henniker, NH 03242).
