Don (Deonne) Thomas Bur­du­sis

It is with great sad­ness that the fam­ily of Don Bur­du­sis an­nounce his pass­ing on Jan­uary 8, 2019 at the age of 74. Pre­ceded in death by his father Thomas, his mother Cather­ine and by his first wife Linda. Don will be lov­ingly re­mem­bered by his de­voted wife Pamela Bur­du­sis and his chil­dren Sta­cie (Scott), Matt (Donna) and Jeremy. Don will also be fondly re­mem­bered by his grand­chil­dren Christo­pher, Alyssa and Ryan. Will be greatly missed by his faith­ful com­pan­ion Tziki (Tzatziki). Fur­ther sur­vived by many fam­ily mem­bers and friends. Born on De­cem­ber 30, 1944, Don was raised in San Francisco. Don joined The Olympic Club as a child, en­joyed the sport­ing ac­tiv­i­ties and de­vel­oped a large group of friends as a re­sult of life­time mem­ber­ship. Don grad­u­ated from St. Ignatius High School be­fore mov­ing on to earn his Bach­e­lor’s De­gree at the Univer­sity of South­ern Cal­i­for­nia. Don cher­ished his time at USC. Many can at­test to his love of USC Foot­ball and the Tro­jan March­ing Band. With his un­cle Peter Tripp and cousin James Cois, Don ran a suc­cess­ful in­sur­ance busi­ness in the East Bay for over 35 years. Don achieved a long sought af­ter goal by com­plet­ing his Law de­gree in his 50s. Ac­tive in the com­mu­nity, Don served as a lit­tle league coach, a mem­ber of the Oak­land Jaycees, the Alameda County Plan­ning Com­mis­sion and on the par­ish coun­cil of the Greek Ortho­dox Cathe­dral of the As­cen­sion. Don was a res­i­dent of Pleasan­ton, Cal­i­for­nia for over 40 years be­fore re­cently mov­ing to No­vato, Cal­i­for­nia. Don loved to travel, cel­e­brate his Greek her­itage and en­ter­tain fam­ily and friends with his great sense of hu­mor. He will be missed by all.

A Tris­a­gion will be held at 7pm on Fri­day, Jan­uary 18, 2019 at the Greek Ortho­dox Cathe­dral of the As­cen­sion lo­cated at 4700 Lin­coln Av­enue in Oak­land, Cal­i­for­nia. Fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 10am on Jan­uary 19 at the As­cen­sion Cathe­dral. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Oak­mont Me­mo­rial Park in Pleas­ant Hill.
