Mary Worrall, age 84 of Burlingame, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2019.

Mary was born to Edward and Winifred Curley on October 13, 1934 in San Francisco. She graduated from Notre Dame HS in San Francisco in 1952 attended City College. In May of 1958 Mary married the late George “Bud” Worrall. After several years of living in San Francisco with their four children, Mary and Bud pulled up stakes and headed to the peninsula and settled in Burlingame. There, Mary became a parishione­r at Our Lady of Angels where her children attended elementary school. It is also where she formed close bonds with fellow parishione­rs who became lifelong friends. As her children grew older, Mary enjoyed her sales position at the quaint clothing boutique, Robert Gates, in Burlingame. There she formed close friendship­s with her coworkers. Mary enjoyed passing time tending to her garden, seeing her grandchild­ren, and weekly Sunday dinners at her home with her family. In Mary and Bud’s retirement years, they were often traveling with their close circle of friends here and abroad.

Mary is survived by her four children; Patti, Kathy, Marc (Sue), and Teresa (Brent). Mary will be remembered by her five grandchild­ren: Sean, Nick, Jessie, Tommy, and Sarah. She is also survived by her nephew Tom Healy. Mary was predecease­d by her husband George Worrall in 2007 and her only sibling, Patricia Healy in 2008.

A funeral service celebratin­g her life will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:30 at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Drive, Burlingame.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Burlingame Villa and Mission Hospice for their attentiven­ess and loving care.
