Michele Antonio Lancieri
February 17,1953 - December 29,2018
On December 29, 2018, Michele Lancieri passed away suddenly two months from his 66th birthday. He was a beloved father, brother, son, and friend.
Born in Basilicata, Italy, Michele accomplished his dream of seeing the world by working on cruise ships after serving his time in the Italian Military. He settled in San Francisco in the early 1990’s, and fell further in love with the City he had long admired.
Most recently, he was a hard-working and charismatic waiter at North Beach Restaurant, but had served at other Bay Area establishments as well.
The light of his life was his son and only child, Marco. They were able to spend a joyful Christmas together, where they laughed and reminisced over cracked crab and lasagna - the perfect final memory.
Michele will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by his son, Marco (Christiane) Lancieri, his mother Angela Lancieri, his brother Francesco (Lucia) Lancieri, and his best friend Giuseppe “Joe” (Lisa) Forte.
A celebration of life will be held at Halsted N Gray-Carew & English, 1123 Sutter Street, San Francisco at 10:30 am on Sunday, January 20th. www.halstedngray.com
